  Believe it was the dems that wanted to keep the African Americans as slaves ad infinitum. Ahhh, just a little history there for you.

  Wow! Thanks for the ‘history lesson.’

  Actually, most of the Northern Democrats were against slavery, while the Southern Democrats were pro-slavery. Meanwhile the Whigs’ party were split along regional lines. Almost a century later, we saw the Democrats, under President Truman, move to integrate the armed forces. Kennedy ‘carried’ the civil rights movement after his defeat of Richard Nixon, who WAS an early proponent of civil rights. Gotta give Nixon credit for that. Meanwhile Democrat Strom Thurmond, who went against Truman, was opposed to the civil rights movement.

  I’m not making this about Dems vs Repubs, though it seems you are. To me, it’s more like Facism vs the ideals of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal...”

  Because...while he uses accurate charts, graphs, and statistics, his REASONS for the various trends are pure conjecture. In other words...he’s pulling it out of his ass.

  Renember all the Washtowel articles, where a scientist, or scholar is quoted, yet the quote is taken way out of context, or the reference to said quote is of questionable validity? That’s what I’m talking about. As for name calling, Joe Rogan said that “only dumb people,” buy what Stefan is spouting. Hey man, don’t shoot the messenger.

  I guess your right, hybridous. After all, Hitler, JF Rutherford, David Miscavige, Reverend Jim Jones ALL had some good points. Maybe Hitler was kinda right about the Jews.

  Just sayin.’ He sounds a little “out there.” Apparently, even JOE ROGAN is on to him.

  And what’s with this defooing shit Stefan promotes. Apparently it’s already resulted in the breakup of families of some of his listeners..er FOLLOWERS. It’s culty and weird. Remember Art Bell from Coast to Coast Radio? He fell for it and cut off all ties with his family. I’m just shocked that former J-Dubs would buy into this culty weirdness.

  It’s good that drug crimes are being brought up on this thread. The US has a huge opioid epedemic, and it seems that compared to many other countries, we just can’t stop getting high!! We’re one of the ONLY nations with televised commercials allowing the big pharma companies to promote their pills. We have a whole generation of drug addled citizens who got hooked on fentanyl and other drugs that were basically PUSHED by various manufacturers. Now, the individual STATES are bringing lawsuits against the big pharma cartels, because the Federal Government doesn’t have the BALLS to take on a major source of their political donations (like what happened with big tobacco).

  So...in an effort to find a “bogey-man,” what do we do? We blame those filthy Mexicans for the fact the we just can’t get off drugs. It’s THEIR FAULT.

  We have a generation of drug addicted young people, diagnosed with ADHD, who won’t put the X-box down, and won’t stop popping pills. It’s no wonder that most of the people I see in my home state, who are doing road construction, filling pot-holes, or installing roofs, are from other countries.

  All good quotes, from credible, fairly mainsteam news sources. Fox was on the list, though it was penned by Alex Nowrasteh, an immigration policy analyst who’s worked for the CATO institute, and other libertarian causes (remember the Tea Party?). He was also a graduate of George Mason University, and the London School of Economics. In other words, he’s too smart to appear on Fox & Friends, or with college dropout, Sean Hannity.

  I digress...

  The problem is, and will continue to be, a certain loud minority won’t allow themselves to be confused by such facts.

  They will come up with ‘alternative’ facts, or go into mental lock-down when confronted by the actual facts. Probably no different than what the still-in, or “PIMI” JWs do when confronted with actual facts about their Org.

  The sad part about Trump is it going to take about 7 years for the US to see the effects of his economic policies.
  Destroying the economies of your allies and trading partners, screwing the US consumer, inflation and higher interest rates.

  Good point. Unfortunately, many on this thread never witnessed the effects of 1970s style stag-flation, and the early 80s recession. The next administration will get to try and mop up the result of tariffs, inflation, and a HUGE national debt, that gets worse over the next 5/6/7 years. The next admin will not only have to clean it up, but might even get blamed for it by certain media pundits...ESPECIALLY if the opposing party gets elected. You can “bank” on it.

  I’ll repost this in 7 years.
